Project Description:

The Banish Hammer was built as a third year university project. It is a simple third person action game that features wave defense gameplay, as you play as a mighty king character who is being overthrown by his own kingdom.

This project was inspired by modes inside popular games such as Gears of War Horde Mode and Splatoon’s Salmon Run.

Project Features:

  • Melee combat featuring special castable abilities
  • Scaling enemy waves based on skill level
  • Random event waves that have effects on gameplay (more enemies, less hp) and (foggy level reducing visibility)
  • Tutorial level that explains simple narrative in an intuitive way
