Season 14 – Pirates of Mischief

Project Description:

Embrace a more mischievous side of the pirate life with a wealth of new tools and weapons dedicated to stealth, sneaking and causing chaos whenever you encounter other crews. From traversal tactics and silent strikes to deceptive disguises and tricky traps, there’s a lot to explore in Season 14.

This Season added more tools and ways to interact with the ever expanding Sea of Thieves sandbox. From being able to disguise yourself as a piece of treasure or a barrel, or hanging off ships in specific locations. From hiding amongst the enemy with the Mimic Dart, allowing the player to take the appearance of the target hit. To wielding the Blowpipe to deal damage or poison foes. Or perhaps using the Grapple Gun to explore levels or steal loot or players off their ships.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Introduced to the onboarding process
  • Involvement in the development of this project, from early production to release version
  • Implemented a balanced cinematic feeling using ship combat
  • Collaborated with other teams involved on the project; design, engineering, artists, content, audio, producers
  • Used new gameplay features which utilized lighthouse beams mechanics
  • Learned how to implement dialogue and text based features that support localisation
